The Tutor Ceiling Tile is an innovative composite of materials that mitigates the standard mineral fiber ceiling tiles main weakness, moisture. Starting with a high-quality gypsum board for the core, the tile is then laminated with a textured PVC face and aluminum foil on the back. Then the edges are sealed to encapsulate the core material. This unique blend of materials allows for a tile with excellent moisture resistance on both front and back surfaces, while still maintaining a CAC of 32 and a class A fire rating. The Tutor also meets ASTM D5116 high-quality air standards as well as being tested in accordance with ASTM D6329 and is highly mold resistant.
Perfect for spaces that need a moisture-resistant tile that can be handled over and over again without damage, the Tutor PVC laminated ceiling tile is certainly a powerful performer and a great option to traditional mineral fiber or "acoustic" tiles.
Designed to fit all standard 15/16" grid systems. Will not fit in a 9/16" grid, please measure the visible width of your grid. Available in 2x2 and 2x4 sizes.
The Tutor PVC laminated ceiling tile is a big step up from your standard mineral fiber acoustic tiles. The covering on the back, face, and sides creates a highly moisture resistant tile. You will have to have a substantial leak before you will see any damage to these tiles.
With the gypsum trapped in between the PVC face and foil backing, these tiles can be handled over and over without the edges becoming frayed or starting to crumble. If you have an area that needs access often, these tiles will serve you much better than traditional tiles will.
Class A Fire Rated
Product has been tested in accordance with ASTM 84e and scored a Class A rating for flame spread and smoke generation.
Ceiling Attenuation Class
Product has been tested in accordance with ASTM E1414 and scored a rating of 32 for ceiling attenuation.
Luminous Reflective Value
Product has been tested in accordance with ASTM E1477 and has a Mean LRV of 74.6.
Microbial Growth
Product has been tested in accordance with ASTM D6329 and is highly mold resistant.
Organic Emissions
Product has been tested in accordance with ASTM D5116 and meets high quality air standards.

Warranty Conditions and Limitations
This warranty covers material defects in the ceiling tile when used in a standard ceiling application. It does not cover labor, consequential or incidental damages. This warranty is not transferable and applies to the original purchaser only. Please note that painting the ceiling tile will void the warranty and may change some of its properties like its fire rating.
