It is designed to provide all the functionality of conventional drop ceiling tiles at a fraction of the weight. The feather-light construction makes it easy to install, easy to clean, stain resistant, water resistant, dust free, and resource friendly! Installation is fast and couldn't be any easier.

Designed to fit all standard 15/16" - 1" T-Bar Ceiling Systems. Most of the thermoform ceiling tiles come in two sizes, 2'x2' and 2'x4'.

FYI - If you have a 2x4 grid ceiling, but would prefer the look of the 2x2 ceiling tiles, simply insert a 2' center T bar available online or at most local hardware stores...it's easy!

5 Year ProShield Warranty
The ceiling tile manufacturer guarantees that your ceiling tiles will be free from manufacturing defects for a period of five years from the date of purchase. Limitations apply. See full warranty information below.

UL Listing/Certification
ProLite ceiling tiles bearing this mark are UL tested and approved drop-out ceiling panels that can be installed beneath fire sprinklers. When exposed to heat from a developing fire, drop-out ceiling panels soften, distort, and fall from the ceiling grid. Heat from the growing fire activates the sprinkler which, unimpeded by the panels, controls or extinguishes the fire.

Highlights:
The Stratford grid tile is our most popular drop ceiling tile. Our customers are continually amazed at its ability to transform the look of their room. Its classic simplicity makes it a great option for any type of space. The repeating design of this 2x4 tile gives it the unique ability to create the look of a 2x2 tile, which can be nice in smaller spaces. You will find that it is a great time saver since it will help you cover twice the space in half the time. Being that it is Class A Fire rated, it is an excellent choice for most businesses and homes. We are also proud to say that it is made in the USA.

Things to Consider:
Since the Stratford tile is not flat on the back, it is not suitable for use as a direct mount tile.

While it is only .013" thick, the embossed design gives it the rigidity and structure needed to support itself in the grid without sagging. To avoid the risk of sagging, we discourage placing any weight directly on the tile. If you would like to keep your existing acoustical tile in the grid for insulation or sound barrier purposes, we recommend that you place it above the framework so that it is not putting any weight on the Stratford.

It is more than likely that your room has partial tiles around the perimeter. Not to worry- The Stratford tile lays nice and flat in the grid when cut to any size. Since the recession of the design is only .5", the gap is unnoticeable for most applications. View product images and customer installation photos for examples.

If your grid is already white and in good condition, it should match the white Stratford tile very well. If you are going with a colored option, we highly recommend that you consider the Grid Tape or Grid Strips since they are color coordinated with the ProLite collection. If you would prefer to avoid the extra expense, you can of course paint your grid as well.

Greenguard
Greenguard Gold Certification offers strict certification criteria that considers safety factors to account for sensitive individuals (such as children and the elderly), and ensures that a product is acceptable for use in environments such as schools and healthcare facilities. It is referenced by both The Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Building Rating System. Click here for more information.

Waterproof
Materials used in the construction of the tile(s) are 100% waterproof.

Class A Fire Rated
Tiles have been tested in accordance with ASTM 84e and scored a Class A rating for flame spread and smoke generation.

Great looking ceiling tiles

they look absolutely great. But they a think plastic so I put the old ceiling tiles on top of these with the insulation on top of all of them. I just wished that they told me to do that in the beginning. I finished them all with just the plastic and when I opened the door the tiles would move up and down withing the grid system. Next time tell the buyer the right way to install them. Took me twice as long after I had to do it over again. Again it is a great looking product, just tell customer proper way to install

Thank you for your feedback, Charles! We’re happy to hear that you’re loving the look of the Stratford tiles in your ceiling! We also appreciate the installation advice; however, due to the thinness and design of the Stratford tiles, we do not recommend that the existing/old ceiling tiles or insulation (other than our Soniguard tiles) be placed on top of them, because this can cause the Stratfords to be crushed or to begin sagging under the weight. Instead, we recommend using our Uplift Prevention Clips along the top of the grid system every couple of feet to prevent the ceiling tiles from lifting out of the grid system due to air pressure changes. If keeping the old tiles and insulation is preferred, it’s best for these items to be placed above the gridwork so that they are not adding any weight to the Stratford tile. You can view our video “Your Old Ceiling Tiles” (https://youtu.be/sD-g8PhOWjE, or on any Stratford product page) to learn more about how to place the existing tiles above the grid system in order to make room for any of our Featherlight Series (.013”) ceiling tiles. Hopefully this helps answer your questions as to why we do not recommend installing any items directly on top of the tiles. We thank you for using our Stratford vinyl ceiling tiles for your ceiling project and hope you enjoy them for years to come!

Perfect

Everything worked out perfectly. Being a man of course I didn't read the instructions until I was finished and regretted not putting adhesive on the entire trim pieces; so many had to be redone. One instruction said put three dabs on each piece and another said to cover it all. Other then that I was so happy with how flexible each tile was so it was very easy to fit them on the existing grating and the trim covered the old imperfections. Excellent company and delivery was timely and undamaged and I couldn't be happier. Don't waste your time at Lowes or Home Depot when this company is in business. Huge selection available with great color pictures and accurate descriptions.

They are beautiful and we've received a lot of compliments

These are absolutely gorgeous. The color is a flat black. We decided to use our old ceiling tile grid tracks and paint them black. The best match was rustoleum flat black spray. Tip: if you choose to spray old ceiling, tile grid tracks in place you will have overspray. And as the spray settles to the floor or ground, it turns into a light black dust. So take precaution by covering or moving all your furniture and area rugs away from where you’re spraying And cover anything you can’t move really well. We ended up using plastic drop cloths to wall off small areas at a time. This kept the overspray from drifting into other areas of the man cave room/walkout basement. Also, you should be wearing a very good mask to protect your lungs. But this was such a perfect match. It was worth the trouble of going through. We’re not quite done yet. We still have a small bathroom and a laundry area to finish. But we’re going wait till spring and spray the tracks outside. Not only am I impressed with the Stratford vinyl ceiling tile, but I am very impressed with the company and the service provided.

Looks good but too thin

Material very thin, if it was twice the thickness I would probably purchase. Went with a different PVC type tile that had more structure/thickness. I thought these would be thicker than they were.

Hi Matt, thank you for taking the time to share your experience! The Stratford tile is indeed thin, making it the lowest-cost decorative tile available. However, it sits nice and flat once installed and is easier to cut than a thicker tile. There are thicker options like the Oxford, but most people find the higher price tag unnecessary, as they don't 'do' more unless you intend to put them under old tiles or have them bear weight (like clip-in LEDs, for example). Since the Stratford looks just as good installed, it's usually seen as the better value. Thank you again for your review, and for including us in your project!

Excellent Tile, easy to install, easy to clean

After years of using "traditional" suspended celling tiles I was ready for a new idea, and boy was this the right decision. Easy to install, easy to clean, very light weight, Cuts with a pair of scissor and, most importantly, no dust. Seriously, not one spec of harmful dust created by the tiles during or after installation. They are a little more expensive but very well worth the price.

Product quality and consistency are quite good.

Installed about 1250 square feet in basement. The project was rewarding. Get the grid system in correctly and the tiles work well. Installed six inch wafer lights by cutting 1x10 x23 3/4 inches long. Used six inch hole saw to cut out. Clipped lights in and they look nice. Cut ventilation vents with same process. Have received several compliments. Would order and use the product again

Looks good, difficult to install

NOTE: Due to previous water damage, did not have ceiling tiles to help hold them in place. Due to how flimsy it was, had difficulty installing but was easy to cut. For the price, I would still recommend this product

Hi Joe, thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We're glad you like the look of your new ceiling. The Stratfords are among our thinnest line of tiles, but they sit nice and flat when installed and, as you mentioned, are super easy to cut. They should not be difficult to install, but perhaps your project was more complex than normal. We're here to help, so if you ever have a question or challenge, don't hesitate to reach out. Thanks again for your review, and for including us in your project!
